The IALB - International Akdemie Land- und hauswirtschaftlicher Beraterinen und Berater (International academy of advisers in agriculture and family entrepreneurship), is the umbrella organization of European agricultural advisors from 18 European countries, and was established in 1961. The IALB provides a quality assurance consulting. For more successful adaptation to new requirements from farmers and other stakeholders in rural areas, the ILAB detect trends and changes and pointing out solutions to improve contribution in education and counseling. This international association of advisors experts focused on future family farms and rural areas in the framework of sustainable development. Croatian Advisory Service is a member of the IALB from May 2013th.

For organization of the most important annual gathering in the field of agricultural consultancy in Europe, which was held for 52 year, regularly run multiple candidates. The IALB - Internationale Akdemie Land - und hauswirtschaftlicher Beraterinen und Berater ( international academy of advisers and advisers in agriculture and family entrepreneurship ) are in charge of selection a nominees and picking out a organizer of the congress. This year the candidacy of Croatian Advisory Service are accepted, in competition with Berlin.
What's the Advisory Service?
The Advisory Service is a specialized public institution of advisory activity in agriculture, rural development, fisheries, and forest management for the forest owners and operates, through a central office in Zagreb and subsidiaries in the local (regional) self-government.
The core business of the Advisory are transmission of knowledge and information in agriculture, and linking stakeholders in development of rural areas as key factors in the development , growth, competitiveness and sustainability of agriculture , and thus the development of the vitality of rural areas .
It is an undeniable fact that the Advisory Service, after entering the Croatian EU has a key role in the implementation of rural development, and the dynamics and scope of the use of financial resources of the Fund for Rural Development of the European Union (EAFRD).

What is the IALB- days?
The IALB-days are regular annual conference of agricultural advisors and actors of development in rural areas that are already hold for 52 years. Conference topics are up to date technical information, an overview of the organization and offers of an advisory services - "Best Practice" a consulting for a projects, a dialogue and exchange experiences of stakeholders in rural areas and a reflection for future development.
The program of the IALB - day are composed of a technical and scientific lectures, a field trips, a workshops, and information about a new projects in agricultural consulting. The IALB -days have so far held 25 times in Germany, 11 in Switzerland, 11 in Austria, three in Italy, and three times in France. Usual a conference takes 2-4 days with the participation of between 200 and 300 participants.
What is the goal of maintaining the 53 IALB - days of 2014 Croatia?
The participants of the conference will have opportunity to exchange professional experiences with colleagues from all over Europe in the field of agricultural consulting, rural development and the possibilities of withdrawal from EU funding.
The conference will provide national and international networking of a stakeholders, and rural development initiatives to create EIP - European innovation partnerships in agriculture and rural areas.

The potential participants at the conference are: agricultural advisers, employees of development agencies, employees of state and county administrative bodies responsible for agriculture, rural development and the EU - projects, representatives of high school and faculty education in agriculture, and employees of other institutions in agriculture and rural areas.
How will finance the 53 IALB -days?
Balanced budget framework is approximately 57.000,- €.
The main income is the fee, amounts to a compulsory program is 115,- € and 105,- € for the facultative program. Other income is from sponsorship and donations of regional and local governments and entities.
The main expenses are for: translation services(simultaneous, consecutive, Croatian - German - English), field trips to farms, welcome dinner and gala dinner, press proceedings and other written materials.
